Johannes Reiter, PhD

Johannes Reiter, PhD

Johannes Reiter is an NIH-funded Principal Investigator and an Assistant Professor at the Canary Center for Cancer Early Detection in the Department of Radiology and in the Department of Biomedical Data Science at the Stanford University School of Medicine where he directs the Translational Cancer Evolution Laboratory. He is also a Member of the Stanford Cancer Institute, the Biomedical Informatics Program,the Biophysics Program, and the Bio-X Program. He is a trained computer scientist and obtained a PhD in Computational & Mathematical Biology from the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria). He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University and previously gained experience at Microsoft Research, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), Google, and Siemens. Stefano Avanzini

Stefano Avanzini is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab. He obtained a PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland under the supervision of Tibor Antal in 2019. He also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Parma and a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Bologna in Italy.

Alexander Gorelick

Alexander Gorelick is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab. He obtained a PhD in Computational Biology and Medicine at the Weill Cornell Graduate School in New York City under the supervision of Barry Taylor in 2020. He also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from McGill University in Canada.

Giulia Simoni is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab. She obtained a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Trento at the Center for Computational System Biology in Italy under the supervision of Corrado Priami in 2020. She also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Bologna and a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Trento in Italy.
